How to make your computer faster

There are two ways to make computer faster. First one is Software optimization and second one is Hardware boosting.

[] Software optimization includes no cost and easy to perform by any hand user.

1. Defragment your Hard Drive in regular interval of period like two weeks later or once in a month. To do that right-click on My Computer, go to Manager, choose Disk Defragment.

2. Keep empty Temp Files. Temp folder is involved in Windows. It will also help your computer to run fast.

3. Keep empty Recycle Bin.

4. Clean temporary files using Disk Cleanup. To disk cleanup right- click on any drive, go to Properties and select Disk Cleanup from General tag.

5. Remove programs those are usually not useful for you. To do so select Add or Remove programs' from Control Panel.

6. Adjust Performance best for visual effect from My Computer, Properties, Advance, Settings in Performance; put same value for Initial & Maximum size box up to 2032 from Change in Advance, Settings in Performance Option.

7. Minimize your startup program and use desktop for shortcuts only those will lead to minimize boot up time of your computer. To minimize startup program right-click on My Computer, go to Manager, Services and Applications, Services and then double click on specific services to set it start manually.

8. Run up- to-date Anti-Virus. If you don't have an anti-virus tool, you may download the free version of AVG anti-virus from the link http://free.grisoft.com.

9. Run up- to-date Anti-Spyware. You may get free anti-spyware from the link http://www.safer-networking.or g.

[] Hardware boosting includes upgrading and adding new components to the computer to increase its speed and performance.

Your computer will return speed considering the weakest hardware of the configuration. Suppose, you have 1.80GHz Processor but 64 or 128 MB RAM so computer will return speed corresponding RAM since it is weaker here. Now 512 MB RAM no doubt will return more speed than previous. To use SATA hard drive which offers better speed of memory may need to upgrade motherboard. So keep upgrading your hardware requirements to figure out best speed from the computer.
