So you want to bake something that is going to raise funds for your favourite charity? There are a number of different styles and foods that you can bake to achieve this.
CAKES
There are ranges of cakes that will be big crowd pullers. There is the Victoria Sponge or the Black Forest Gateau, the Iced Fruit cake or the small fairy cakes. For fun you could try the chocolate Rice Krispie cake or the Orange Swiss Roll.
BISCUITS
Then you have the homemade biscuit. These cannot be beaten. The Shortbread of the Chocolate Chip Cookie will go down well, as will the Viennese Whirl, accompanied by the Ginger biscuit or the Gingerbread men.
OTHER ITEMS
Homemade Ice cream will be popular in the summer or, for the winter French Onion or Mushroom soup will warm people to you. Unusual sandwiches may raise the odd cent or two, fillings like Cheese and Jam or Crisps and Ham.
REALLY SPECIAL
See if you can make Pizza's, very large in size that will spell out the name of the charity a ten-yard Sausage roll will raise a rumble or two as well.
