Science versus religion

I am not especially religious, but if God did exist then he would be seen as a scientist. It does make sense in that if God created the universe, then he created and used all chemistry and physics, etc., needed to kick start the universe in a big bang. Even human scientists when creating precursors to life needed a big spark to set things off (as in Urey and Miller's experiments in the 1950's). God set the parameters for the constants and made the universe elegant. If the universe was some kind of experiment, then God would have used a scientific method to create and run it. Crucially, God has let us in on some of the secrets of science by allowing mankind to use science to measure the universe, the world and ourselves. It is how we can measure cosmological, geological and archaeological time by using the very products (atoms, elements, isotopes, etc) that the ultimate scientist created himself. Even the Pope has an astronomer so as to be closer to God through the stars.

There is no dichotomy between science and religion because they are one and the same. The universe itself is not just a physical scientific thing; it resonates with morality and faith in that the galaxies, stars and planets behave in a rational way. They also are born, live, spread life and die; there is a respect for their environment and for us a world that shares its wealth. It is not science nor religion that is the problem, but man's propensity to name and separate things. Such words cannot describe the universe; it cannot be devolved of either science or religion. The universe has its own commandments, its constants of nature, physical laws that are obeyed, which constitutes a deep belief in the infinite and everlasting. That is the religion of the universe, which is an organised system of forces, which controls our destiny. Every single galaxy, star, planet and particle has an effect on us through whichever force manifests itself. Indeed, we are made of the same universal stuff having elements within us that can only come from stars. We are truly one with the universe. How could we not see the universe as a religious entity in itself?

As for the supposed ultimate scientist, could God be a Boltzmann Brain? Religious minded think of God as some kind of disembodied force watching over us. Cosmologists have theorised that in our ever-expanding universe (due to vacuum energy), it may be possible that during the universe's lifetime a conscious being, a Boltzmann Brain, could spontaneously appear,
