WHY?

Why must we yearn for what we can't have?
When already, we have more than we deserve.
Nevertheless, we'll take all we can get;
Performing daily for those we serve.

Why must religions battle one another?
Calling on the faithful for deadly jihad.
Why should so many die for the few?
When all are the children of God.

Why do soldiers sing as to death they march?
Which they have for centuries and more.
Knowing quite well, combat awaits them,
Leaving nothing as it was before.

The biggest question of life is "why?"
The wrath of man is always in season,
Why is our world the way it is
Like a tragic poem without rhyme or reason.
