a preposterous idea to those of us who believe that children should know and love God and know that He watches over them and loves them unconditionally. They should learn the He created them as they are and He did it for his purpose.
He gave his children a free will so that they will learn to direct their own life. Sometimes it's by trial and error that they learn how to use this gift of a free will as it should be used. He chose not to force his will on them, but instead, preferred that they choose Him as the best choice. This takes time and it is what living is ultimately about.
Anything that tries to snatch this away from youngsters and anything that unduly influences them toward the atheistic views by a soured writer, is wrong. A soured writer who is using his gifts wrongly is a definite no.
What does the author think of the boycott? He calls the Americans that oppose his movie, 'nitwits'. It's all right to be called nitwits and to a certain degree we are just that; but so are writers who see such a narrow view of the world. It makes one wonder exactly how one gets such a skewered view of a world apparently they know nothing about.
How is the movie doing at the box office? According to online reports it opened December 7th, and by the second week it was way down from expectations. It is reported that this is good news to the Christian communities.
