When and why childhood sibling rivalry continues into adulthood

Sibling rivalry can be a problem among many siblings.It continues to adulthood as things learned young becomes difficult to depart in later life.Here are some things parents can do to avoid it and its continuation to adulthood :
1.Do not compare:When you praise one child try praising the other too.Constantly comparing siblings can lead to jealousy which continues to adulthood.So avoid comparisons.
2.Avoid being a judge:When solving conflicts parents should be impartial.Being partial leads to development of grudges in siblings.This continues to adulthood.
3.Avoid favouring:Favouritism leads to jealousy and resentment among siblings which continues to adulthood.Make the siblings know that they are equally important.Example:When buying a new dress,buy for both children.This helps to know that both are equal .
Sibling rivalry is a thing as part of growing up .Patience will help to solve problems in course of time.
