I remember when I was just a teenager and starting to work and pay my own bills for the first time. one of the firt thing's my father told me was t always pay myself first. Always pay your bills even if maybe you have to short them a little but always pay yourself first because if you don't, nobody else is going to. That has proven over the years to be very good advice. It is funny how much smarter Dads get as you get older and become a Dad yourself. I know my Dad was a lot smarter when I turned forty than he was when I was in my late teens and early twenties. My baby is thirty one now and has two little girls of her own. Funny how Dad gets smarter as kids get older. Has been that way for generations.

If you want to get ahead and have a secure retirement, you need to save yourself and not count on anything from the government because George W and Dickie are spending a bout as fast as the mints can print it. They have spent more money and accomplished less than all the previous administrations put together.

One of the easiest ways to save is to take advantage of a 401K at work if you are fortunate enough to work for a company that has one, That money comes right out of your check and you never see it till you get ready to retire. 401Ks are the best savings gimmick going write now as far as I am concerned.
