Poetry: Rape trauma

How to explain this...thing that torments me?
leaving me to understand it by myself,
while it continues to expand rapidly.

You, for whom the utmost affection should be given to,
forgotten beyond his shining shadow,
as I'm disturbed by the similarities between you two.

You, for whom I've given all that I've treasured,
letting you fill it with the waves of ecstasy-
the mark of ownership-
the rush and throb of my blood-
and whose patience I've pleasured.

Why is it that when you reach for me, his musty hands reach too?
Why is it that when you commit to me, the memory of his actions run over like a bus over a cricket?
Making me fear reaching back,
while being dishonest towards you.
While every cell in the blood of my body circulates as fast as it can, telling me to accept you.

    Humil iated
    Dazed
