Product placement is where to expose your product to the potential costumers.

Exposure Level

Products that are at the level of the eye have the highest sales where as the products at the shoe level are rarely seen. When you walk in a supermarket you can notice that the most famous products are those exactly at the eye level. You rarely miss the right? They are always the center of the attention, specially when people are in a rush they seldom look at the ground. They always look at the eye level.

Hot Placements and Cold Placements

The place where you put your products inside the supermarket makes all the difference when it comes to selling. Have you ever noticed that when you enter a super market you rarely stop too see the closest products? That is because of a human trait. We try to move on quickly from the entrance so that we can not be noticed, we try to go immediately to a comfortable place. This means if the product of place too close to the entrance you are missing a lot of shots. Instead try to place on th right of th costumer since almost all people are right handed. You can try even put the product at the exit since most people walk out of a store slowly.
