After downloading World of Mixed Martial Arts I found myself immediately impressed by the stunning graphics and seemingly simple interface. However, this no nonsense, PC based simulated game from Grey Dog Software is far from simple. In fact, this game is a highly innovative piece of work that delves deep into the management aspects of martial arts. In this game you are in control of managing every aspect of your mixed martial arts company from scouting new talent to handling the financial burdens.
This game takes a lot of initial research and I found, as a new player, than it is very important become familiar with every aspect of the game before attempting to play. Included in the download is a detailed help file explaining all the basics and a walk through to help a player get acquainted with the controls and game play. They also, on their web site, include a support forum for game players in the event that the help files are not answering any additional questions a person might have.
As a woman I am impressed by the wide selection of female characters as well as the inclusion of a women federation. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who is familiar with or interested in the big business aspects of martial arts keeping in mind that the game is quite complicated and may take some time to learn. As someone who knows very little about management in any category I found this game to be difficult and time consuming. I would not purchase the game for myself but would consider it for any martial arts addicts in my life.
