So many men and women wonder what the other sex wants. However, the most important thing to keep in mind is that we're all people, and people are all different.

Would you want a someone to stereotype you and say you are like every other person out there? Would you want him to assume that you have all the same goals, interests, and dislikes as every other man or woman in the world? Probably not. So why should we do the same to the opposite sex? We can't make prejudiced assumptions about what they want any more than we can about what blonds want, or what Christians want, or what European-Americans want, etc. By looking at people as a stereotype of a group instead of as an individual, we're setting ourselves up for failure.

So, ladies and gents, trash those magazines that have stories titled "What Women Want," or "10 Secrets About Your Man," or "Why Men are Distant." They're not going to answer any of your questions, and they're only going to get you more down in the dumps with their bad stereotypes.

Some men like to communicate, others don't. The same can be said for women. If there's a problem in your relationship that's really making you wonder what is going on inside your guy or girl's head, ask them about it! If they're not willing to talk, and you can't shake that feeling that something isn't right, you can try couples counseling. If things still aren't working, that could just be a sign that that particular person isn't the one for you. Not a problem. There is a very wide variety of partners out there to chose from. Stop stereotyping and take a look around. If you don't like a certain type of guy or girl, find another. Just don't blame it on the entire gender!
