Should employers be allowed to use MySpace, YouTube and Facebook accounts as a basis for hiring or firing employees?

Honestly I feel that employers should not be allowed to use myspace, facebook, or youtube to decide whether or not to hire or fire someone because what someone puts on their myspace may not be them in reality. I personally have 2 myspace accounts and one of them i put real information on and the other one I have information that is not accurate to see how people react. So if an employer was to go on to someones myspace where they have false information then and decide to fire someone because of what they have on their account. That is my personal feeling.As for youtube, Youtube is an amazing community and is a great way for someone to put their emotions, feelings, or opinions on. Now the police are putting surveillance tapes of robberies on youtube. Youtube is helping the police and if youtube is helping than how should some employer be able to use it to decide whether or not to fire or hire someone because of their opinions or emotions on something is. Finally when it comes to Facebook I feel that facebook is just a place where people keep in touch with one another without needing to worry about what they put out their. They can join in a group he or she does not like than that should not be right. I believe i have covered the idea of if an employer should be able or not be able to use myspace, facebook, or youtube to decide whether or not to hire someone.
