Your wedding day is suppose to be your day for you and the one whom you are marrying. Its suppose to be that special day of happiness and as your being committed to the other person. I believe that if your father can not walk you down the isle then I feel that the closest family to you such as a sibling or uncle should. Somebody who you grew up with and has been there for you through everything. My father passed away when I was twelve years old. For the longest time I never even thought about getting married but now it's going to happen sooner or later with me and my boyfriend. I spent lots of thinking and putting my thoughts together. My brother is who I want to walk me down the isle because my older brother has taken care of me since I was little. He is the closest person I have in family and I wouldn't know where I would be without him. He has helped raise me practically by himself. I couldn't be any more thankful than what I already am.
So my advice would be, if your searching for that one person to walk you down the isle, think about the one most important influential person in your life that has helped you through everything. Think of that one person that you would never trade him for anything in the world, and then you would find your answer.
