water colors or sketch pens. This part can be slightly difficult especially in the beginning. Once you have the face in place, craft out little hats and wigs using paper and wool. And your piece is ready!

Jar Set
Pick regular glass jars, in various shapes and sizes, from you local convenience store. Now use an assortment of lace, paints, trims and other decorative material to transform these regular jars into a beautiful, festive set. Simply glue the trims (or any other material of your choice) onto the jars, and create the perfect kitchen set.

Center Pieces
Create beautiful focal pieces with a combination of home-made candles and potpourri. For the candles, melt some paraffin wax in interesting shaped containers, or ready-made molds. Add some scent, and dried leaves or petals to the make the candles more festive. You can also add a bit of glitter, once the wax cools down. For the potpourri, in a bowl, mix a fixative (this holds the fragrance together) like orris roots, oak moss, etc. with a teaspoon of fragrant oil. Let it soak in a corner while you mix a bunch of spices (cinnamon, mint, nutmeg, etc.), fruit peels (orange peels are especially effective) and dried flowers in another. Toss all of them together and store in a sealed container for a couple of days. This gives it time to soak in all the aromas, and build up a great, strong fragrance. When the time comes, pour out small portions in little plastic bags and tie-up the bags with some holiday ribbon. Combine the bag with a couple of the candles and you've got a fantastic gift set.
