Silent staring. Nothing more.
She rises from depths of still time.
Free of expression. Lost all emotion.
Vacant eyes which dive deep into mine.
A canvas unworked. A score incomplete.
So faded. So tired. So worn.
Blank and bereaved. Hopes unreceived.
Dead eyes unable to mourn.
Shadowed and pale. Silver and shine.
Ghost of a ghost of a gleam,
Unnoticed by others, except for disgust,
Flicker of nightmarish dream.
Face turned away, Empty eyes are cast down,
Through fear of what she may see,
Outcast and alone, the purpose unknown,
The girl in the mirror is me.
