Let me ask you a stupid question. If you or I, basically non-famous people, had 2 DUI's would we get jail time? I think we would and probably should. Drunk drivers take many innocent lives every year. Most of the time the drunk driver walks away with minor injuries and leaves behind death and chaos for many families, when is it enough? Just because she has a famous father and has been dubbed a semi-star herself she will most likely get a break and do some ridiculous 10 hour jail stay and community service. For a first offence this would be the norm for us all, that and probation along with fines of all types. It seems that we once again are going to see an example of the double standards we have in this country when it comes to the privileged.
We have laws to protect the innocent and make the guilty pay for their crimes. DUI the last time I checked was still a crime. If you are quality of a crime there is a price to pay and I do not think 10 hours in jail and some bogus community service should suffice for Nicole. I bet if she did some real time, say a year or two behind bars, she would think twice before driving drunk again. Wait a minute; doesn't she have access to a limo and driver? What is wrong with her and all these other celebrities? If I had access to a limo and driver, and chose to go partying I would have my sober driver do his job and drive. Keeping myself out of trouble but maybe saving an innocent life. I'm not saying that she killed anyone but she did break the law. Breaking the law should have equal consequences for all of us, the same measure of justice needs to apply to all.
I have had just about enough of all these reckless stars doing whatever they want with little or no regard to the safety of others. Not to mention thumbing their pretty little noses at the law. What would this world be if everyone got the same treatment as these stars lately? A nation out of control perhaps, why do we make these laws in the first place?
It is time for the gavel to fall hard and make an example of one of these so called stars. I say so called because I can't think of anything, other than who her father is, as to why Nicole is famous to start with. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. If it needs to start with poor Nicole let it begin. It is not like we are picking on her she did break the law. As long as we have separate rules for them and us we will never be able to have true fair justice in this great country of ours.
