That is why it is important to provide some superb brush cover near your food sources.
VARIETY. Try to provide all kinds of flora habitat on your property. Log on area of your property to create a clearcut. Leave some tall timber standing to create some dark sparsely underbrushed woods. make a brushy thicket by half clearing an area, letting more sun in for more brush. Try to provide an area for any mood an animal might be in. Spooked, hungry, mating, nursing, playful, tired, etc.
FIELD OF GRASS OR CROPS. Provide a large field of grass, alfalfa, clover or some other low growing food to create open fields or pastures where animals will surely congregate. What to grow all depends upon where you live in the country. Create one large main field in an area more visible and accessible, while creating another smaller field more secluded and hidden. Maybe add an apple tree or two.
These are the main things you can do to attract wildlife of all sorts to your property, even if it just a couple of acres. In many areas you can also feed animals with timed feeders and dispensers, as well as use salt blocks and other supplements such as sugar can liquid. Make sure to set up game cameras and shooting lanes(for gun, bow, or camera) to be able to view the animals you bring into your private wildlife ranch that you created.
