As I began World of Mixed Martial Arts it seemed like i was in for a treat. I was sadly mistaken.
The only thing that remotely gave me a sense of entertainment is the fact that this game by Grey Hound media gave me a chance to run my own virtual enterprise consisting of booking fights and signing contract deals.
Although those factors are there, they are poorly represented. The open and close of windows is hardly 'game like' and lack of movement is only compensated by the mediocre graphics and sound that this game possesses.
The sheer lack of game play is something that needs to be desperately fixed, not even fans of the sport will like this one it seems to be repetitive in the fact that all you do is click on windows and advance to the next week waiting for contracts to close.
The imagery on WMMA rivals a desktop screen, in which the desktop screen would win hands down. Character descriptions are bland and seem to repeat over and over again. You have no choice in your brands logo or title design, and it takes away from a game that really can't lose anymore
The price of the full version is obscene considering what you are playing and paying for. The fighters you have to choose from are all fictional and give you no idea of why you are to hire these people. Although a good concept, to have an MMA company in your control is amusing, this game is obviously the first step in a genre that i hope to see more from in the future.
This game has wasted part of my life and I am truly sorry for that, I do not recommend even the biggest MMA fan to play this poor excuse for a simulator. A weak 1/5 is all it deserves.
