A Winter night's dream
A snowflake right before my eyes,
an icy breeze going through my clothes,
something cold and something warm running through my mind,
as I sat by the windowsill.
Years gone by, as fast as wind,
memories so sweet and far and blurry,
running through my life in such a hurry.
Wake up each morning, do the same old things each day.
Days so empty, so sad, so dark and gray.
One after another and in past they are.
As I'd collect them and put them in a jar.
Would watch them day-by day diminish.
And wait for this existence to finish.
Oh life! Oh sweet life! What is left of you?
Some years, some days, that's sad but true.
Wake up each morning...
A snowflake melting on my finger,
the moon shining through the clouds while I linger.
Some time to be, some time to waste,
until I go to sleep and the thoughts are replaced.
A snowflake, so beautiful, now gone,
as in my childhood long forgone.
Some simplicity and some time,
To be a child,to hear the bells one more chime.
A life as short as a snowflake's,
as meaningless as well, to do all that it takes,
to live in this dream, so pure and sweet,
to let go of the world and give up my seat.
A snowflake and another, it's snowing just as before,
yet I am gone, no longer for the world to ignore,
a snowflake in the sky landing on your hand,
to stay with you until I can.
A winter night's dream so cold and white,
a snowflake on the windowsill as long as you write.

Sinking deeper into my dreams.....
Sleep deprived and restless
My eyelids softly close
Blanketing me like a canopy over glistening
Worksong
As I work, half-dead to the call of bare feet in damp earth
or oiled fingers glancing over knotted calves
It is now

I saw Lincoln crying, last night, in deepest slumber
My heart ached for him, his tears, so many in number
And although he seemed
-"Transcendence of Three Dimensions"-
Waking up is a silvery blur
Of things that are and things that were
Things that have not
Last night I had a dream
and you were there with me
so I held back my scream
you said, come on, this is our destiny
and I followed
