Of course religious criticism is warranted! Wait a second, maybe it's not! I do know one thing for sure, it does depend to whom you are speaking with. There are people that take the bible word for word, but they take away different meanings from the same writing. Because of that, it must be correct to criticize religious beliefs. If not I'm really confused.
Since there are many denomination of Christianity, didn't people like Martin Luther break away from his church to start another form of Christianity. There are so many Christian denominations, I can't tell who believes what.
It's not any different with Judaism. With so many beliefs, everyone always thinks of what is best for them to practice. The Muslims have groups that are fighting for their beliefs currently.
If it is alright for religious groups to criticize each other, it must be the same for anyone to do this. Why wouldn't it be! Maybe I am looking to change my religion. If that were true, I would visit different houses of worship to find out what each believes. By telling you what their faith believes in, don't you think the representative you speak with will tell you why you should choose that particular faith? Isn't that criticizing religion?
If religious leaders are allowed to criticize, why can't we all!
