our history. These are mostly people who have not voted before; I know my daughter and her friends having just turned 18 will be voting for the first time. It is vital though that they learn that they need to vote in all elections, especially the primary elections. That is where the parties pick there candidate and then it is hard to vote for someone you wanted to vote for, if they didn't win the primaries. Also every child in at least the 3rd grade knows how to use a computer and access the internet. I wonder had the internet been this far advanced back when Ross ran as an independent in the early 90's, would it have made a difference? The mistake most of the candidates are going to make is to under estimate the viability of using the internet as a tool to reach voters. I know that in the future it will be used more and more, but today the way I see it is that they haven't committed to the idea. They are still playing politics as usual. All but Ron Paul, and the groundswell has demanded that he no longer be discounted as an also ran but they have to view him now as a serious contender.

If you want to take the time, and I for one think we all should check out all the candidates voting records. That will tell you exactly where they stand on any given issue. I went to this site, which happens to be Ron Paul's congressman home page, http://www.house.gov/paul/. Every Congressman and Senator has one, but how many of you have ever checked one out? It is in the way they vote that the little things come out. If you want to do further research my bet is you would find a direct correlation to who gave that candidate money when they were running for office. I have found that money always comes with strings attached. If you were a large drug company and you contributed to a candidate's campaign with large dollars, wouldn't you expect that candidate to vote favorably on any bill concerning your business? That is the way it works folks, and it has been that way longer than we have been alive. It has become so common that we do not even realize it goes on.

As far as straw poll's go, who conducts them? They are not official or regulated in anyway I can find, so what is to stop them from slanting the results? I put no stock in straw polls, independent polls, or most any polls for that matter. No one called and ask me anything, how about you, your phone ringing off the hook with pollsters? I blame the mainstream media myself for the problems I see with reporting fairly. You have
