The impact of Guitar Hero on learning to play the guitar

This comes from the mind of the Rock Warrior A lot of people believe that Guitar Hero will not improve your skills as a guitar player or vica versa. As a guitarist and a guitar heroist I would like to shed some light on these forms of practice. That's right I use guitar hero as a form of practice. If an athlete wants to speed up his muscle building process he can take supplements that won't give him what he needs alone but if combined properly with his regular routine he can at least speed up the progression. From my personal experience, and I can't say it will be the same for everyone, you can improve your guitar and improvisation skills by playing guitar hero.

A 24 fret guitar has 12 different notes and 144 frets to play. There are six strings that come in many different sizes and textures. Some guitars come equipped with a Whammy bar others have a fixed bridge. A guitar hero controller has 5 buttons and 1 lever to act as a string. It comes with a whammy bar on all models. The Rock Band Controller has ten buttons, upper and lower. The upper are used for tapping. From the frame of mind that doesn't believe in the interconnected relationship of all things you will think that these things have very little in common. For a moment please step into my world. I have been playing 5 years and I started playing guitar hero a little less than a year ago. I started on medium and found it was a little challenging but failed to see how it could make you a better guitar player. After a few weeks of messing around with it, I was being a goof off and picked up a pick and started playing with pick. After about a week I was able to start playing things on hard. When playing on hard and expert the rhythm patterns match more to the song played than on easy and medium. "The Beast and The Harlot" has a verse riff that is much different on expert than it is on hard. On expert its the exact rhythm pattern you will need to know for the song for your right hand. When you use a pick its kind of funny because it's actually harder than the traditional way. I always use a pick now and it got me better at guitar. I noticed also that the more guitar I played the easier expert became. I'm also a user of Guitar Pro, if you are unfamiliar with Guitar Pro you can download Power Tab for free which is basically a free version of Guitar Pro without the midi drums. With Guitar Pro the tab scrolls and you can follow along to see how its played. The biggest increase I noticed was my ability to play
