We all know not everything is going to be right.. all of the time. So when are we so surprised when it happens and we get that hollow and empty feeling from our partner? It makes us doubt our relationships.. again and again. Are we, as a society, just too damn afraid of making yet another (relationship) mistake?

I know I have felt that way, numerous times. I questioned what made my partner "worth it" because I thought the last guy was too and look how that turned out for me. I find it interesting that people are always trying to work out "trusting each other" in their relationships to fix them, but it has become clear to me that we really only have trouble trusting ourselves... and our judgment. We don't want people to let us down but have we ever thought to ourselves how much we really fear us letting ourselves down? Especially since when we are let down by others, we have someone to blame so we don't have to face our own reality that we are not perfect, as so many of us think.

If we can learn to trust ourselves and believe we have better judgment than we think we do, even if the relationship doesn't work out, we will feel better about ourselves as people to know that we overcame our fears.

We all have our good times and our bad times, if it doesn't work then it wasn't meant to.. not only in our relationships but in life. So enjoy it, laugh and be peaceful because no one else determines your hurt feelings except you, by choosing to be hurt. This is what I strongly believe.
