A dragon's very useful when it comes to making toast
Or helping out with barbeques or anything to roast,
And if he is the flying kind, then anything you need
You can ask him to fetch for you and expect him back with speed.

But it's best that you don't bother him with other household chores
For dragons are quite clumsy and they're prone to other flaws
They need a spacious bedroom, many choose to use the roof
But wherever you may put him, make his sleeping space fireproof.

Generally they're healthy and they rarely catch disease
Which is good for many houses will not last a dragon sneeze
But before you rush to get one, I had better add to that
A dragon is quite commonly allergic to a cat.

So if you have a cat then it is best to keep it shaved
And fireproof all your furnishings if you would like them saved
But follow all these rules and you will find that you will get
Respect from all your neighbours when they see your newest pet.
