Lessons from college students on living frugally

In our college days we generally pay more attention on saving money and utilizing it properly. In our college life, we try to cut/reduce the unnecessary expenditures as much as possible. So there are various lessons which we can learn from our college life. Like:

• Using the opportunity: College students generally try to use all available opportunities, like using library books , gathering material from seniors, using the computer lab or net provided by college etc, instead of going to the other private labs or buying new books. So from this what we learn is use the available opportunities you have at every moment in your life.

• Sharing: College students generally club with other students and make them friends. They generally share living place, food items and provisions, out doors, entertainment etc. Instead of going alone he goes with 4 or 5 friends. So he has to be just ¼ th of actual expenditure. This is great saving. So you can apply the same rules even when you become employee. Buy giving and taking also you can save a lot. Here you must act according to the situation.

• Controlling bad habits: students generally control bad habits as they knew that bad conduct will spoil their education and hence career. So always try to in their limits. So you can apply same in your life. Try to far away from too much drinking, smoking, going to pubs and frequent restaurant visit, etc. Because person who is earning generally thinks that he can do whatever he want with the money he earns. Because that is his own money. so naturally try to spend more on these bad habits. So have control and living in limits is good for all kind of reasons including savings.

• Saving money earned: college students generally do part times jobs and try to save as much as they can from their earnings. They utilize it for further education and needs. So keep the same thing in mind and try to save as much as you can from your monthly salary. Try to invest on money increasing funds. There are many places where you can invest money like fixed deposits, insurance for surety, shares for profit in less time, etc. This step will not only save the money but also increases it somehow.

So there are various lessons which we can learn from our own college life experience. I just mentioned a few here.
