Toy recalls don't impact sales. Don't take the media frenzy of talking about every Chinese toy recall as warning about holiday sales. If we look at black Friday sales we see that consumers actually bought more per person.
What does this mean on Christmas? It means that recalls don't effect consumer trends and this Christmas will be bigger then ever. There are toy recalls all the time and the amount of recalls has actually stayed nearly the same. The publicity of certain foreign toy recalls makes it seem like there is more when there is actually not.
There are so many toys out there a few dozen recalls will only increase sales. This may seem unwise but actually the publicity toy manufacturers are receiving keeps buying toys on peoples mind's. When people go shopping they'll be thinking about what toys to buy. Most likely an excess of toys will be bought in case one being recalled.
No one should say that toy recalls will effect sales negatively. There's no such thing as bad publicity. The only bad news is no news.
Toy sales will sky rocket this Christmas. This increase in sales will boost the economy so much that a temporary stock market jump will ensue.
After this Christmas is over toy sales will be shown to be triple that of expectations.
