Children are taught in school that they are merely a combination of meaningless chemicals that evolved from another meaningless combination of chemicals. They are taught that they are just a lucky throw of some cosmic dice. They are taught that nothing in life is absolute, and that what is right for you might not be right for me.
As they grow up believing this, they develop the attitude that life is meaningless. Many young teens are already so tired of living a meaningless life that they try to get a thrill from alcohol, sex, and drugs. They soon find themselves with addictions, STDs and broken down bodies. Many teens suffer from eating disorders, because they thing that life will be more meaningful if they look like a Brittany Spears.
In order for life to have meaning, there must exist some absolutes upon which to build our lives.
Consider a beautiful painting on the wall. It does not take a genius to conclude that since there is a painting there must be a painter. Then look at the building that houses the painting. It does not take much intelligence to conclude that the building exists because there is a builder. Then look at nature. It should not be hard to figure out that all that you see in creation is there because somewhere out there is a Creator.
Notice the details of nature. Every part of nature appears to have a purpose. The moon's gravitational pull affects the ocean tides. The tilt of the earth gives us our seasons. They pupil of the eye detects light so it can dilate and contract according to the brightness of the light.
The similarities we see among mammals is not due to some cosmic accident, but to a common designer. If you buy a Ford Focus or a Ford Taurus, you will see many similarities is the layout of the dashboard, the sound of the motor, etc. This is not because one evolved from the other, but because both share a common designer.
If the Creator has a purpose for each component of Creation, then that includes the human family and each member of the human family. The Creator has a purpose for each and every one of us.
The Creator is greater than His creation. Therefore in order for us to know anything about this Creator, He must choose to reveal Himself to us. He does that is numerous ways. Through nature we discover that He is a Creator who is interested in order and design. We discover that details matter to Him.
He also reveals Himself through the Bible. I'm not trying to sound preachy, but the fact is that the Bible has stood even when science
