Recently a lot of my clients asked me two, what I consider, great questions. In this post I'm going to give you my answers on them.
1) What exactly is a Reborn Entrepreneur' and where does the term come from?
2) What does your average workweek looks like? It seems you're always online and doing a lot of work - is that true?
First of all, let me start by telling you this: I'm not here to brag, my fellow Reborn Entrepreneurs' aren't here to brag. You shouldn't do that either when you reach that point. It's true that these kind of stories can make others incredibly jealous. They'll do everything to put you down and hold you back. (Heck, I even faced a lawsuit from my mum to suck me out of everything I earned - simply because I didn't finish her desired University)
A Reborn Entrepreneur' however is proud of what he achieved and helps others, by sharing his story, to replicate his successes. He's the guy you usually find seemingly doing all kind of stuff, being everywhere at the same time while telling you a lot of his personal life. They're not the business owner you do business with, they're your friend.
Here's the exact definition of a Reborn Entrepreneur':
The typical online entrepreneur is one that spends numerous hours in his business. He tends to oversee every aspect of the business, does everything on his own and is limited in earnings due to time constraints. Actually he/she is suffering from a time- and income ceiling.
Now we got the Reborn Entrepreneur, one that can setup a business quickly following proven formulas from his/her coach and own experiences. The more businesses he/she starts, the better the formula becomes. Everything can be done in a few weeks.
Then the Reborn Entrepreneur automates his business and gets a (Virtual) Assistant to do the work for him. Even then, the Assistant doesn't have to do a lot of work since the business is automated. The goal of the business(es) is to free the Reborn Entrepreneur from Time, Income and Place problems: he/she can run a business in just an hour or two a week, makes enough profit to do anything and is free to go anywhere since his business runs without him/her.
What My Workweek Looks Like
Monday morning I get out of bed early because I'm the most productive in the mornings. I get up at 6 AM and respond to my personal email for 30 minutes. Then I check upon my business email for 15 minutes. I pick up the business reports from the FTP and go thru them Nice, my businesses have grown 1,02% last week. That's another few grand extra.
From Monday to Wednesday I have online meetings with my coaching clients. I either do them on my laptop or take my Palmtop with me to the beach or a nice restaurant. Helping my closest clients is always a lot of fun and also very rewarding. They're my friends and I discuss my own issues with them too. With 2 or 3 meetings a day, I'm quite busy.
Then it's Thursday. Time to write some copy, brainstorm my new business ideas and hand them to my assistants and managers. They go to work immediately. Sometimes I also do a meeting or two on Thursday, another busy day for me.
Friday has arrived. I sleep out late and don't do any business. I'm only online to do a game or chat with friends. Also, I get my assistant to plan my next vacation and think of fun things to do with my girl and family. She makes all the appointments for me and also does groceries, so I don't have to stand in line.
That's my typical workweek. Quite overloaded at 4 hours a day for 4 days. I'm going to cut back to 3 days soon and try to use my Thursday for friends and family too. My businesses will run without me, so I should enjoy that freedom more!
