I don't want to see that again.

Lord, I'm down and I'm out. I've been through the fire, and I don't want to see that again.
Lord, you've dried up the rain, but I still see the water, and I don't want to see that again.

And Lord, I don't know, if I can start over again. I see the wife, she's holding her children and holding to life like it's not holding to them. I don't want to see that again.

Lord, I've heard a man cry, he steals the weep from the willows. I don't want to hear that again.
Lord, I've held the hand of a lie, I've seen the face of the devil. I don't want to see that again.

And lord, I don't know, if I can start over again, I can see the wife, and she's holding her children and holding to life like it's not holding to them. She's holding to life and it should be holding to them. Don't want to see that again.

Lord, I've seen the face of an angel in the eyes of a stranger. I want to see that again.
And lord, I've been asleep in the grass, and I woke up still dreaming. I want to go there again.

And Lord, I don't know, if I can start over again. I see the wife who is holding her children and she's holding to life like it's not holding to them. They're holding to life and life should be holding to them. I don't want to see that again.

I don't want to see that again.
