There are several Christian country bands today. Some of the best are nominated for the Christian Country Music Association Award. In 2006, some were nominated in two categories, best group and entertainer of the year.

The Fox Brothers and Last Light Band seemed to be favored last year as they each obtained two nominations. The first was for the best group and the second for entertainer of the year.
Melanie Walker has also been a favorite recently and was in the running for entertainer of the year.

Others in the running for entertainer of the year were Del Way, Branded and Tommy Brandt.

Bob Bennett was not nominated for a award, but he and his guitar have been involved in Christian country music since 1979. His last album was produced in 1999 and was his 7th.

Terry Taylor is another example of someone who has been recognized in the Christian country genre. His first album was published in 1976 and since then, he has written some of the most well-known songs produced by other artists. In total, he is responsible for 45 albums and is considered to have written more songs than almost anyone. His last album was in 2003.

Any of these would provide a good example of a Christian Country band.
