I am a teenager from Asia. I'm a Chinese and it can be said that I'm a Buddhist as I do go to Chinese temples occasionally to pay respect to the Gods but that's over very special occasions only. Well actually Buddhism isn't exactly a religion, it is more like a body of philosophies and teachings influenced by Siddhartha Gautama. Buddhism is believed to correlate to the nature of reality that surrounds us. It holds no rules saying that in order to enter Heaven after death you have to believe in [insert name of a God].
My mother's side of the family are all Christians whereas my father's side are Buddhists. Here our religion is usually determined by the religion of our fathers unless of course if either or both your parents are Islam whereby you are automatically classified as an Islam.
Anyway, my mother isn't that religious and my father is an ardent atheist. He likes to make it known to people that he's an atheist so they would not try to "enrich" him with their religious preachings. Anyone who tries to lure him with afterlife rewards such as, "If you believe in [insert a name of God] you would be sent to Heaven after you die" would be shot straight to the ground. He would thrive upon opportunities like that to start a heated debate on the existence of a God and most of the times he'll have the other person dumbfounded.

She used to talk to me about Christianity and I would believe every word she said. On one occasion she told me even though the Earth is a sphere and there were inhabitants all around it, they do not fall off into outer space because God is holding onto every single one of them to the Earth. But now I know that was a lie, because the actual answer to it is because of the gravitational force of the Earth.
On another occasion, she took me aside and talked to me about how believing in God will guarantee you a spot in Heaven. She knew that my father was very strong in not touching Christianity at all and I believe she was trying to get me to believe in it. She told me scary things that would
