Sex on television has been one the most controversial arguments since the beginning on television. Anybody remember Elvis Presley? People thought that the swinging of his hips was very sexual. He was criticized on a notional level and forbidden by many parents. All this for swinging of his hips? As time progresses we become more tolerant of the things people do on television. At one point in time, a man kissing a half naked woman would have been considered pornography. Now it is seen all the time.
The real question is: is there too much sex on television, for our generation? It will only be a matter of time before private parts are shown, and then there will be full intercourse. This is the steady evolution of tolerance as a society. Once we get used to one thing, we will get bored with it. Then there will be a bold film maker who decides to take it to the next level. He gains fame, there is national controversy, and then people get over it. The process then repeats itself.
As you read this, consider what is accepted as a society and what is not accepted. Remember these things, because twenty years down the road you are going to look back on all this and remember that things were not so bad. This argument is one that will never end, no matter how hard people try.
