The benefits (for everyone) of having a work-life balance

You don't want to be miserable do you? Is work getting in the way of your happiness? Are you feeling depleted of all energy and can't wait to get home and there you just flop down on the couch and wonder where did another day go? If this is you, then you need to change your lifestyle! First I want you to grab a notebook and write down what your natural born talents are. If you can't think of any, ask your friends, your family, and your co-workers. You would be surprised by what you hear! Take these natural talents now and search for a career that will enable you to use them. You will take time for work, take time for yourself, your family create a better lifestyle for yourself. You have to have everything in equal amounts to feel like your balanced. Gone will be the exhaustion, the feeling of dread going to work day after day. You will start to make goals for yourself and reach them. You will feel nourished and happier. You will eat smart, take time to exercise and take time to learn new things. You will take better care of "you". In turn your job performance will be far better, you will enjoy doing your work, you will look forward to going to your job more often and you will have a better balanced life if you do these few simple things. Make sure you go for a short walk before you start your work day. Just to clear your mind, smell the roses, look at the clouds, the trees, and just be happy that your alive! When you get to work, organize your day so that work stays at work, don't take your work home with you, unless you have to. When you get home, make sure you relax for at least thirty minutes, and just have some quiet time to yourself. Then get up and get your supper ready, clean up, do some chores, then sit and relax. Do an activity that you really enjoy for at least an hour. Finish up whatever you have to do, get things ready for tomorrow and then either take a nice relaxing shower or bath and get ready for bed. Rest is very important. On your days off from work, make sure you relax for the first hour or two of your day, then get things done, your chores, your shopping, your errands. Then again, take an hour or two and do something that you alone enjoy. Always give yourself some "me" time each day and you will feel much better. Get into a routine, develop a better lifestyle for yourself. And if things are not as you would like them to be, then change your routine. You are in charge of your destiny, your lifestyle. You can have anything that you want. Just work at it. Once you've given yourself more time to reflect on your life and what you want, then you will be a much, healthier and happier person. You will live a more balanced life. Take care of your body, mind and spirit.
