Of course they can. Every book in the Bible is a different text that was put together by a bunch of "Scholars". Bible means "A collection of books". Not to mention, the books are out of order.

Any time God speaks to man and tells him to write it down; that text becomes scripture. There are multiple books that the Bible speaks of as scripture - that are not contained in the Bible. If we found them - a vast majority of Christians would have to re-think their view on the Bible being the ONLY word of God. Most likely those Christians would not believe in the new found scripture - because they believe that the last part of The Book Revelations tells us that we can not add any more scripture to the Bible. What they fail to remember is that The Book of Revelations was written before several of the other books in the Bible.

Anyone who says that only one text can be inspired by God - is attempting to shut God's mouth for him. It can not happen. God still speaks to men today as he did in times of old. By denying all other texts a person may succeed in shutting their own ears, but not God's mouth.
Even in times of old there were many who would not believe - even with miracles in their midst. It is no different today.

And to respond to the only currently opposing view on this debate. God is the literal Father of our spirits. It has been said that any man who does not comprehend the true nature of God, does not comprehend himself. It is not that people fail to understand what or who God is. It is that they fail to understand who they are. Literal children of God. If we are his children...what will we become? A "child" mosquito larvae becomes a mosquito. I "child" bear cub becomes a bear. You are worth far more than you realize. The afterlife holds far more adventure and learning than you can even know. This life is to test character - not knowledge.
