Australian singer, Kylie Minogue has been a hit making sensation since her early debut in 1987 with the hit single, " Locomotion." Her sweet smelling cologne, Darling, has outsold the Beckham's colognes in the U.K. where Kylie is incredibly popular. The cologne was made to reflect Kylie's personality, and is infused with Australian sandalwood, star fruit, and freesia.
Ironically named by INXS lead singer, Michael Hutchence, as a suicide blond in his song, "Suicide Blond", 39 year old Minogue recently battled breast cancer on her Show Girl tour. She bounced back to sell out Wembley Arena seven times. Her new cologne Sweet Darling was released this year, and has cotton candy accord, juicy passion fruit, and freesia in it.
It's not a simple life for Heiress Paris Hilton. She's been incredibly busy. She teamed up with Parlux Fragrances in 2004 and created the cologne called Paris Hilton. After the cologne took off with astronomical sales, they created several more-Just Me, and Heiress. In 2007 the two teamed up again and created a new fragrance called Can Can.
Paris Hilton is a famous wealthy heiress and has starred in the TV show, The Simple Life, with Nicole Richie. Having completed a short stint in jail recently, Paris has written several books, and appeared in a horror movie called, the House of Wax, in 2005. She also made a record, started her own hair extension business and smells wonderful the entire time she is busily making more money.
Supermodel Kate Moss' creation simply called Kate, recently outsold every other celebrity cologne at the U.K. drugstore-Superdrug and it will be hitting American stores in 2008. Singer, actor, Jon Bon Jovi, recently teamed up with clothing designer Kenneth Cole to create a new scent called R.S.V.P. Shock Rocker Marilyn Manson, Novelist Danielle Steel, and American Idol Judge and singer, Paula Abdul are all entering the fragrance business with their own colognes for 2008.
With the fragrance business making over two billion dollars last year, chances are that your favorite star will come out with a cologne that you adore, in the near future.
