How to rebuff unwanted advances

Want to run away when an unwanted pass is made in your direction?
Although fliriting is a great compliment to your ego, it is also a sign that the "flirter" is testing the waters to see if you too return their interest. So what can you do short of run in the oppposite direction? Some possible ways to fluff off the flirting are:
1. Be sure and put physical space between you and your admirer. This alone can sometimes send the message that you are not feeling the warm and fuzzies back.
2. Do not acknowledge the flirtation. If the bait doesn't bite, your admirer will soon take the hint.
3. If they attempt to hug or touch you, let them know you are not "touchy feely" type person with friends. That part of you is reserved for the person you are dating..
4. If all else fails, make direct eye contact and let them know the flirtation is increasingly making you feel uncomfortable and you would prefer to keep things on a friendship level.
