Baseball is one of the oldest and most beloved sport in American history. Baseball represents everything good about summer. My favorite memories about summer are the warm night watching Giants baseball with my grandfather. He loved baseball as much as I do now. It is easy to get me a gift for the holidays because my family and friends know I love baseball. There are a few gifts I have gotten over the years that is sure to give someone else a smile this holiday.
A baseball jersey would make a perfect gift for the baseball enthusiast in your family or group of friends. Jerseys allow you to represent your favorite player or team. My favorite baseball gift ever is a Willie Mays jersey my dad gave me because he is my favorite player playing on my favorite team. Baseball jerseys are usually more wanted that other sport jerseys because of the button shirt style.
Another great gift would be baseball merchandise such as a baseball, baseball bat, or glove. A baseball is an easy and inexpensive gift for anyone who loves the game. A baseball bat is can represent your favorite slugger because each player has their own unique bat. I do stress that you should get a wooden bat because they are more authentic than the aluminum ones. The best merchandise is always the glove because they are the most used in backyards than bats and are more unique than baseballs.
Other baseball gear can also make great presents. Hats can be found with logos of all 30 MLB teams and all college (over 100) teams on it. Shirts, jackets and sweaters can also be given and so can customizable jerseys with your own name and colors. One very creative way is to paint a friend's room using your team's colors as paint. You can be very creative customizing nearly everything from bedrooms to cars.
The best possible and possibly least expensive gift you can give someone are baseball tickets. Especially at night, baseball games are the best because of the atmosphere and you don't even have to pay attention to the game to have fun. The game can serve as the backdrop to a meaningful conversation. Bleacher seats at a regular season baseball game are less than $100. And the scenic views of a baseball field are better than any view of a basketball court of football field.
I promise your friend or family member will not forget these holidays if you get him or her one of these gifts. Happy Holidays!
