One important component of college life is how to spend that downtime between classes and exams. Mugs, candy, or stuffed animals are a great way to let someone know you are thinking of them. Scrap booking is also a hot activity. Creating an album filled with college memories is not only a fun activity but is something that can be treasured long after the college days are over.

For those looking for fun off campus, try a gift certificate to a local gym or health spa. These could be enjoyed individually or with friends and could be used by both guys and gals.
Tickets to concerts and sporting events can also be a great way to leave the college life behind for a few hours. Include gift certificates to a local hot-spot and you can make a day of it! If you are lucky enough to be within driving distance of snow, lift passes can provide a fun way to leave the studies behind and blow off some steam.

Whether your student is quiet or always surrounded by friends, these ideas hold something for everyone. They will provide that diversion that everyone needs occasionally and they will know you are thinking of them.
