The Perfect Daughter.

I wanna be the perfect girl.
The one who always tries.
The one who never fails.
The one who never cries.

I wanna be the one who people say
"Why cant you be like her?"
I just wanna be grown up.
I don't wanna live & learn.

I wish that I could be the girl
That never caused a fight.
I wish that I could just let go
And finally sleep at night.

I wish that I could be everything
That people expect out of me.
I wish that I could be perfect,
Just like I want to be.

I'm sorry I don't try harder.
I'm sorry I don't give it my all.
I'm sorry if I disappoint you.
I'm sorry if I fall.

I'm sorry if I don't get it right.
I'm sorry if I cry
I'm sorry if I'm not perfect,
but please know that I try.

I wanna be the Perfect Daughter.
The one who always tries,
That follows all the rules
The one that never cries.

I wish that I could be the daughter
That has everyones faith.
I wish that I could just let go
And get everyone off my case.

I'm sorry that I don't get it right.
I'm sorry that I cry.
I'm sorry that I'm not the perfect daughter,
But I swear to God I'll try.
