Animated movies are great movies that you can enjoy with your family, especially with the little ones. The extraordinary movies will be treasure forever. "Lion King" and "Toy Story" will never be forgotten in my mind because they were part of my childhood. There are a couple movies that pop into my mind that your family will love.

"Ratatouille" is another terrific creation by the Disney-Pixar team following last year's hit movie "Cars" (another terrific movie). "Ratatouille" follows the story of a rat named Remy who loves to cook but is a rat and Linguini a boy just trying to fit in in the kitchen of a three star restaurant. Together they for a partnership that will attract Paris's tongues and warm your heart. This movie is hilarious with a few good lessons being learned in the end. This is a movie you and your family will truly enjoy.

"The Simpsons Movie" is hands down the most hilarious animated movie since the turn of the century. In the movie, Homer stupidly and typically endangers the entire city of Springfield. The government has put Springfield in a escape proof bubble because of the pollution in the city (all of which is Homer's fault). It is up to the entire Simpson family to save the city of Springfield. All in all, this movie will keep you laughing till it hurts and the sweet family values will make it appropriate of youth viewing.

"Shrek the Third" is the next installment in the "Shrek" series. When his father-in-law King Harold becomes ill, Shrek will have to find an heir to the throne or become the heir himself (something he does not want to do). He brings along Donkey and Puss In Boots to find Fiona's rebellious cousin Artie and bring him to Far Far Away. Your family will love this movie which has a few couple surprises you never saw coming.

Walth Disney's "Meet The Robinsons" takes a look into the future. It is about an orphan who uses his scientific genius to travel to the future to find a loving family who will take him. Along the way he meets some pretty crazy characters and a quirky family. Another family oriented movie by Disney is a hit and should be seen.

These movies are the best animated movies of 2007. Every single one of them are up for Oscar contention so you cannot go wrong picking any of them as a gift or just to watch with your loved ones.
