Why people suffer

People suffer because of their own choices and unfortunately, the bad choices of others. From the beginning of time suffering has been played out, from Cain when he slew Abel his brother to the present age. The ability to harm others or ourselves is ingrain and it is in all of us. We have a choice though about the finality of our existing thoughts and daydreams of our sometimes ill provoking sentiments regarding another. I suppose we are all sent over the edge at one point or another in our lifetime but how we choose to deal with our thought processes that may lead us to harm another quite carelessly thereby causing others suffering, and in the end ourselves as well. People suffer for a variety of reasons but I believe we are all self destructive in nature and tend to choose something that we know that will lead to our long term suffering, yet because we are human we still choose that negative road that journey into thoughtlessness regarding what's ahead in terms of our consequences because we decided to choose in the first place the very thing we knew would bring us to suffering.

Human suffering, it really is a choice and either way whether we are the one who is providing the choices that ultimately causes another's suffering or we end up being the one is who doing the suffering is really what life is all about. Through suffering, we hopefully end up learning more about ourselves and how the choices of our own actions can directly affect the lifetime of another. Whatever choices we make in our life will in the end provide for us a negative future or a positive one.
