AS a NASCAR fan, I think the current hottest gift idea would center around Dale Earnhardt Jr, especially if your giving a gift to that person who's favorite driver is Jr. Sine he moved from the #8 Budweiser DEI Chevy to the #88 Amp Energy Drink/National Guard Hendrick Chevy, the merchandise is hard to find, except for maybe NASCAR.com. Jr moving to a sponsor that is more family friendly helps, because if you don't drink and are wary of wearing anything with alcohol, then the Pepsi product and the National Guard sponsored stuff would be really a good idea. There's also the diecast cars, the pictures, banners, license plates, even every day household items with Jr plastered all over them. Will the most die-hard fan of Jr sell all their old merchandise on Ebay or keep it for nostalgia sake?

For the Kyle Busch fan, not only does your driver move to a new team with Joe Gibbs Racing, but also a new manufacturer in Toyota. His new sponsor is M&M's, driving the #18 car previously driven by J.J Yeley.

For the fan of Jimmie Johnson, he won the Nextel Cup Championship for the 2nd year in a row. So, there is probably tons of merchandise that reflect his 2nd championship.

If you support the US Army, then you're going to have to get a whole new set of merchandise because the # changes from the 01 to the 8. Mark Martin and Aric Almirola will share this ride next year and maybe even another "retirement" year for Mark Martin.

Kasey Kahne has Budweiser as a sponsor now, so now Allstate(his other sponsor) can have tons of ads about drinking and driving, maybe with those 3 women stalkers of Kasey in commercials. Will the red Budweiser nation go for Kasey merchandise?

For the old school fan who can't stand the COT, Brian France, or the Chase, there is always the Dale Earnhardt Sr gifts. You can probably buy more #3 GM Goodwrench stuff now than you ever could before 2001, so if you haven't bought anything Dale Sr related for that NASCAR fan, then what better time to do so?
