Gifts for Commuting Students
A great gift for anyone who commutes is one that makes the journey safer, easier, and more enjoyable. Constant travel can be tiring and boring, not to mention that a lot can happen on the roads, so why not help your student be prepared and get the most out of their time in the car? Here are a few possibilities.
*A membership to AAA/CAA. This is especially good for students, as they usually drive older cars and have lots of repairs. These agencies are a lifesaver when unexpected breakdowns occur.
*A trunk emergency kit with a flashlight, emergency blanket, etc... You can make your own, or buy pre-assembled kits that fit nicely into a glove box or trunk.
*A small overnight kit with the basics such as a toothbrush, comb etc... for unexpected stop-overs.
*Gift cards for gas stations. Fuel isn't getting any cheaper!
*Gift certificates for a car wash.
*Put together a care package of other necessities: oil, windshield washer fluid, a collapsible snow shovel, ice scraper, air fresheners, etc...
*Gift cards for fast food and coffee shops along their regular route.
*A travel mug and coffee.
*A small cooler for snacks.
*A car converter kit to play CD's in an old cassette stereo, or
*A dock for an MP3 player. Check out http://www.bizrate.com/mp3play eraccessories/products__keywor d-car+mp3+dock__lp-1__sfsk-2.h tml to help you get started.
And finally,
*Accessories. Help make their car a fun place to be. Try seat covers, a steering wheel cover, matching floor mats, etc... the possibilities are endless... just no fuzzy dice!
