Tips to increase pay-per-click earnings on your website

Wouldn't it be great if you could make a bunch of money for fifteen minutes of work? Of course it would - but that's impossible.

Isn't it?

Lots of would-be millionaires have experimented with pay-per-click ads on their personal or business web sites. Usually, the small returns they receive are discouraging - and they let the original plan fall by the wayside with all of the other "failed" moneymakers. There is still a huge market for pay-per-click ads, however; with the right plan, anyone can cash in on the millions of dollars that big-name companies are dishing out!

The key to using pay-per-click ads to make some extra cash isn't a secret that will cost you $29.95 to buy from an internet hawker, though. Anyone who does a little research on their own will find that it's simple - and all you need is your own website and a working internet connection. Are you ready to hear the change clinking into your bank account like a jackpot-winning slot machine? The following tips will have you smiling (and maybe even laughing) all the way to the bank!

GET STARTED
Joining the ranks of millions who are using pay-per-click ads like Google AdSense is easy; you sign up with the promoter and they provide the ads. Their web crawlers will check out your site and find the right ads, which will be targeted toward the people who are likely to look at your site. When ads appear on your page, someone paid to put them there - and you'll get a portion of that revenue - which makes earning easy.

OPTIMIZATION AND CONTENT
Before you sign up, it's a good idea to make sure your site is already optimized for search engines and contains important keywords. For example, if your site is dedicated to children's craft ideas, you'll need to lightly sprinkle* the pages with terms that people are likely to type into a search engine. Google's average cost per click for the term "kids crafts" is $1.37, so if you've got that term on your page a few times, you'll be cashing in on some of the revenue that the targeted ads generate.

It's a good idea to expand your horizons, too. On your children's crafts site, it's reasonable to assume that moms and dads may be interested in saving money for their child's college education. If you dedicate a page to money-saving tips, that page will contain ads relevant to it's content. Google's average cost per click for the term "college savings account" is $13.28 - imagine your cut of that! If you live in California, even better: "California 529 savings plan" rings in at a
