First, let me say that it is highly likely that the content of this article will probably offend some readers. My opinion on this subject is controversial, especially as I am a woman and do not follow the standard line of thought. To those offended by controversial opinions I suggest not reading further.

Rape is an act of violence and aggression against a victim that can rarely fight back. Whether that victim is a child, woman, or man rape is not about sex or lust; rape is about power. The rapist may be covetous of the victim but not as a source of lust, rather they wish to control that person through fear, pain, and shame. Rape is about power and fear. Even Date Rape, what so many today think of as innocuous and not rape at all is an act of aggression against a weaker person.

Pornography is generally a depiction of mutually agreed to sexual activity between two or more partners. While many may find it offensive, it is not usually about an act of aggression; while some pornography does depict scenes of rape, it remains as with other forms of entertainment, depictions only with the actors volunteering for their roles. Many rapists claim to have viewed pornography as children and young adults and this has led researchers to the conclusion that pornography is the source of their aggression. Indeed some rapists have admitted to viewing pornography as part of their preparation too rape. These two admissions together have led some researchers to the conclusion that pornography is the cause of sexual aggression. I believe this is a false statistical analysis published as fact by organizations with agendas. In searching for these "proofs", I found the organizations and individuals that published their findings fell into two distinct categories, either religious or feminist groups. The more realistic analysis of the correlation between pornography and rape concluded that that there was no direct sustainable link.

I want to make my position clear at this stage. Child pornography is despicable and grotesque. In and of itself it represents the ruination of young lives and the rape of a child both emotionally and physically. Those that promote and participate in child pornography must be prosecuted and dumped into prison for the rest of their natural lives. Children cannot consent. There is no excuse for child pornography. There should be no forgiveness for the monsters that do harm to children.
