The biggest side effect from chemotherapy is hair loss. So how should you approach this? For some people it is a problem, they find it embarrassing to go out with this condition. If this is the case then one needs to look at the possibility of wearing a wig. However, in this case to ensure that it does not make your appearance worse, you need to ensure that it is a quality product and that the style of it suits you as a person. People may stare if you have no hair, especially for a lady, but they will stare just as much if you have an ill-fitting wig, or if it looks dreadful.
Whilst it is difficult to deal with the side effects of chemotherapy, my opinion is that, as it is so common nowadays, most people will appreciate the reason for the hair loss, and admire the strength of the person getting on with their normal life in the face of such adversity.
