About affiliate programs

There are literally hundreds of affiliate programs out there that are worth while joining whilst in fact there are only a handful of them you will have heard of. At one time the Internet literally boomed with affiliate and referral programs, and as a result of such many tycoons of the e-world decided to cash in on the scheme, to make people build downlines, and therefore cash in on residual earnings in a big way.

Whatever your reason for joining an affiliate referral program, it may have crossed your mind somewhere along the line that there is the possibility of making A LOT of money through direct and indirect referrals in a multitude of programs. And you would not be wrong. The only thing that puts people off is 1) the amount of hard work it takes to build downlines in referral programs, and 2) the amount of time it takes to build (and for your referrals) to build those downlines. Sooner or later you'll come to the compromise that its just not worth the effort if it all fails, and to a certain extent I can empathise with that.

The key here to building those downlines isn't just time and effort. It's knowing where the market is for referrals and for donwlines. A lot of referral programs aren't visible to the general internet user, and therefore are restricted to internet marketing, get rich quick websites, and publishers and advertisers. And within that bracket everyone is competing for a slice of the internet cash pie. It's likely that, unless you are decisive in your approach and implementation methodology, you're going to go hungry (so to speak).

Have a backup plan.

If all else fails and you have decided that your referral / affiliate program isn't entirely what you believed it to be, didn't deliver the results you were expecting etc, then it's a good bet you've made a decision that wasn't favourable to your ideals. Don't worry there is hope. As I said before there are literally now hundreds of worthwhile affiliate referral schemes, of which a high proportion can be profitable for your ends. Here are the ones that have worked well for me.

Google Adsense

The profitability of the google adsense scheme has been over the net and back for several years now and for good reason. If you are clever with your affiliate and marketing scheme, you can reap great rewards with google adsense. The rates that are paid per ad click can be negotiable (depending on the amount of traffic you are receiving) , and so are the rates per impression (usually measured per thousand
