The success that is worth achieving is that which is approved and in line with the word of God.Indeed, man is incapable of embarking on any venture,without the ever present assistance of Jesus Christ.In Joshua 1;3 God said to Joshua,''I will give you every place where you set your foot,as I promised Moses''.Joshua 4;8,''You shall meditate on the law of Moses all the days of your life in order to achieve good success''.

Without doubt people embark on their pursuits in accordance with the will of God. God blessed every man with the ability and wherewithal to respond to his environment.We have the capacity to work out something and make a success of it.While a sizable number venture into academic work,others opt for trading,and other means to an end,to be fulfilled and accomplished in life.

The constant thoughts of the fact that we are accountable to God,is a manifestation of the belief that God owns all we toil to achieve.Interestingly,this writer sees himself accountable to God on how he spends every coin of his coin.The development of good character is crucial to success.This is buttressed in Joshua1;8''meditate on the word in the day and night,so that you may be careful to do everything written in it''.Also continuously read the book of Proverbs.

There is a message for every one the political officer holder, civilservant,husband, wife and the children,a businessman,cleaner,labourer etc.Exercise faith and demonstrate love and you will win favour and good name in the sight of God and man.Read the whole of proverbs 3,1-10.Knowledge is absolutely important for the attainment of success.Failure is a result of the lack of knowledge.Read Proverbs 21;16.

Never ignore the fundamental handbook,the Bible for knowledge.Never engage in procastination.Procastination is the thief of time.Unfortunately,both porcastination andlateness is now the ways of life of a large number of people the world over. We need committment to doing things on time for us to be able to work on the pathway to success.

In addition, a steady exhibition of ourage in doing things is always very important.God commanded Joshua to be courageous,Joshua 1;6.In life,God has prepared a way out of every problem.However, even if you suffer for righteousness sake,you are blessed according to 1 Peter3;13-14.The death of John the Baptist andStephen are notable examples.

Besides Jesus Christ our Saviour knew no sin,yet He died on the cross for you and me.The Bible contains instructions of what makes success.And Jesus is the most successful person the ever walked the surface of the earth.

By implication,the desired success,involves following the footsteps of Jesus,our singular role model.We should endeavor to be faithful and truthful to the lord Jesus at all times.We should embrace the injunction,''Come rain,come shine He is in me and should be able to muster sufficient confidence for success in all things we lay hands on.Think of how much time is wasted in slumbering.

God has called so many of us to be great men,developers of great estates.However,we need to be faithful and truthful to Him.We all need to be anchored and focused,never losing contact with the sustainer of life-God.Remember,the life we have is given by God and can only be taken away from us by Him.
