I am a work in progress, within the short, complex time, I call my life.
I am a series of reactions to my experiences, according to my personality and my aspirations.
I am a product of my genes, my experiences, my weaknesses, my strengths and the situations I find myself confronted with.
I could not exist outside of the concept of humanity, I could not exist outside of the planet that I tread on, day after day. I am the wolf among its pack, the grain of sand in the desert, the particle within the cloud in the sky, the speck in space and time.
I am a molecule in the endless evolution of a universe my mind is unable to comprehend. I am a giant in my kitchen, I am a dwarf on my planet, I am unknown in the universe. My entire life is to allow me to leave my insignificant condition to aspire to achieve a status for no other reason than the one my mind needs to survive.
The more knowledge I acquire, the more insignificant I become. It is an insight many of us choose to avoid. It is so much easier to be ignorant. It is so much simpler never having to question our motives, our existence. Life is a mystery, probably always will be.
We have invented many reasons to justify our struggles. Countless theories and philosophies have allowed us to propel us from one century to the other, that is the creative mind of the humanoid. Searching for a reason to exist, the perfect strategy for survival, actually quite remarkable. But it is only a survival mechanism in the endless story of evolution, nothing else.
Who am I?
I am all of the above or more or less, depending on the time and space in which the question is asked.
