A cell phone to a teen girl is no longer just a phone... it is also a photo album, a computer and sometimes a status symbol. It is the way she communicates with her loved ones, the way she finds out where Hayley bought her new handbag, and how she knows the 'goss' about that new mysterious guy in her Chemistry class.

In light of the importance a cell phone holds for a teen girl, here are a few gift ideas to help her accessorize her all important 'personal lifeline'.

Did you know that you mobile phones battery can lose around fifty percent of its power if it is cold? Why not buy her a phone sock to protect it from the cold, as well as normal knocks and scrapes. They come in various colours and patterns, with logos and pictures on them. They don't cost an arm and a leg, so you could even buy her a few different ones so she can match her 'cell sock' to her outfits or events.

Another favourite accessory are charms that dangle from the side of her phone. Between 'Hello Kitty' and 'Tweety', and lights that flash when you get a call or message, you will be spoilt for choice. Again, they are not expensive, so you can buy a few, or even combine with another accessory as some stocking fillers.

All girls like a bit of 'bling', and now you can buy it for her phone! There are special diamantes that stick on your phone, and some come in certain patters and images. All you do it stick them (usually on the back) and they should stay put for a good while. Not the same as a diamond encrusted handset, but I'm sure it will do for the meantime.

On the more expensive side, there are more options than ever for hands-free usage on cell phones. You could buy her the headphones that fit with the model of her phone, which just plug in and she can talk without having to hold her phone against her ear. For the busy and tech-savvy girl, a Bluetooth headset may be a great choice. This small ear piece clips to the ear, and receives calls through the Bluetooth application. No wires, no plugs and no worries, just press the button on the earpiece to accept a call. Can't get much easier!

There are plenty of choices out there for cell phone accesories. If you can't find what you are looking for locally, there are online stores that specialize in these accessories, and more. For a cheaper option, why not search through Ebay to find a great collection of gifts at competitive prices? Your teen will appreciate these trinkets more than you realize, and you haven't re-financed your home to give her something she loves. A win-win situation.
